One Point Lesson record: topic, visual and reading status
Sample company · demo data

A One Point Lesson explains a single piece of knowledge (a setting, a check, a defect type) on one page, mostly with visuals. It is read in five minutes at the start of a shift.

A good OPL

  • One topic: two topics means two lessons.
  • Visual first: right and wrong side by side.
  • Short sentences: an explanation, not an order.
  • Author and approver are named.

Reading and checking

An OPL is prepared as a record type and, once approved, reading tasks go to the relevant units. A short quiz of a few questions can be added; who has read it and who hasn't is listed. The lesson can also be printed as a branded PDF.
